Committee members from The Stephen Carey Fund met organisers of the Alnmouth Family Fun Day this week to receive a cheque for £1,882, a sum which has secured a defibrillator for the local community with an order to be placed in the coming days.
Negotiations are ongoing with regards to the siting of the unit and details will be announced in due course. At the time of installation representatives from North East Ambulance Service will assist The Stephen Carey Fund in the roll out of ‘awareness sessions’ to ensure that the local community has ample opportunity to learn all about the use and capabilities of a public access defibrillator.
