The small rural village of Ellingham in North Northumberland is the latest community to unveil a community Public Access Defibrillator (cPAD).
Utilising funds drawn down from the Ellingham Community Trust Fund the members of Ellingham Parish Council in partnership with The Stephen Carey Fund have worked together over several months to get to this stage.
This installation brings the total number of cPADs installed by the fund to 14 and the overall number of defibrillators provided to 19.
Approximately 30 members of the community turned out to receive free emergency life saving training from the fund and learn how to use the villages latest asset in the event of an incident. Â The cabinet and defibrillator will be installed and available from next week.
