Following the recent installation at the Horse Shoes Inn the generous people of Rennington included some of our collection buckets and tins at the annual scarecrow festival held over the August Bank Holiday weekend and we are delighted to report that they have collected £341.36 through the generous donations from the general public and residents.
David Wilson, Secretary for The Stephen Carey Fund, said “The displays at the Rennington Scarecrows are very popular with locals and visitors alike so to have the opportunity to see the charity associated and benefiting with the hard work and creativity was extremely welcome”
The monies received will be utilised to help fund other defibrillator projects across Northumberland and for the charity to continue providing free emergency life-saving training to local communities.
