A Night Of Fashion And Fun With New Friends

Last night the committee of The Stephen Carey Fund experienced something new, being guests of a fashion show.

Regram Runway and Hotspur 1364, ladies and mens fashion outlets within Alnwick, had got together to arrange a show at The Plough in Alnwick and we were selected as their charity for the evening.

With the promise of the latest fashion on display, some fantastic raffle prizes to be won and one night only cocktails on offer the room was packed.  The evening began with a brief introduction from Michael Bateman from The Plough followed by the first catwalk lineup.

After a whirlwind of superb outfits, modelled by supremely confident people to a backdrop of applause and lively debate about the various styles on show, there was a short interlude within which David Wilson gave a short introduction to The Stephen Carey Fund.

As everone returned to their seats the second display of fashionwear hit the floor, including representatives of the fund and a token member from the committee (well done Stephen Shendon) and before you knew it 1½ hours had come and gone and all the models took their applause.

Last job of the evening was to make the raffle draw, we need to thank at this point all the companies who donated to the draw:

The raffle generated a £352 donation to The Stephen Carey Fund which combined with the exposure to a new audience meant this was a fantastic night for the cause and the committee would like to thank Julie and Lisa for the invitation and generous donation, Michael from The Plough for hosting the event and of course all of the models and guests who attended the event and helped make it the success that it was.
